My husband and I were guests there in September. We had such a great experience staying here. Everyone who worked their were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious, comfy bed and very clean. There was a side building were they provided a very good breakfast and could be used by guests until 11pm. The location was perfect. Away from the busier part of the town and was quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you for a lovely visit in Bar Harbor.

A Great Stay in Bar Harbor Let's be clear—this isn't a Hilton. But for a hotel in Bar Harbor at this price point, it is absolutely the next best thing. My stay started with a lovely surprise: a free whoopie pie upon arrival. It was a wonderful, welcoming touch. Another major perk for guests is the free parking, which is a huge bonus since it's all paid parking in downtown Bar Harbor. The location is perfect, as it's within walking distance to all the shops and the actual harbor itself. The free breakfast lives up to its claim as the "best motel breakfast you'll have." The selection is very good, offering far more than the usual continental fare. While the breakfast area can get a bit small, the turnover is surprisingly quick, so you won't be waiting long for a spot. We booked a room at the annex, which is about a block away from the main building. As expected, the room was a little cramped, but it was clean and perfectly fine for our needs. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bar Harbor. It offers excellent value and a fantastic location.

Stayed in the Annex which offers budget accommodations. Good value. Room was satisfactory but not great, hence the budget price. Great location with plenty of parking. Easy walk to main shopping and harbor. Easy drive to Acadia NP or short walk to the shuttle bus stop. Good breakfast.

Reader's Digest review: Do not hesitate to stay at this lovely motel! The high ratings it has are more than warranted. To tell you how much we liked it, we were literally making lists of family and friends who would love to visit Bar Harbor - and the motel each day! (It's THAT wonderful!) TL;DR review: The Bar Harbor Villager is quiet and impeccably clean with wonderful and efficient features and incredibly kind staff. Those things in and of themselves are more than enough to bring us back for a second visit. By far, however, the star of this motel is its location. If you've never been to Bar Harbor (we were first-time visitors), when you hear that parking is a challenge, believe it. Saying that parking in New York City is easier than in Bar Harbor on busy days is not in any way an exaggeration. Downtown and in Acadia, we saw folks driving around non-stop looking for parking spots. Staying at this hotel solves all of that - and makes your stay so EASY and RELAXING! We walked everywhere downtown - which was so much fun and so, so convenient. There are literally dozens of stores, restaurants, coffee shops, bars and more - plus all that there is to do near the shore - within a few-minute walk. And there is a free bus system that leaves from the cute park that is only half a block from the motel that will take you anywhere in Acadia or around the island. Take it! It's easy, and trust us that you don't want to try to find parking at the popular Acadia locations when it is busy! Thank you Bar Harbor Villager for such a lovely stay!

The location and price can not be beat. Older travel motel style, but updated. They offer a simple but lovely breakfast. You will be in the heart of Bar Harbor and an easy drive to Acadia and the surrounding area. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

We had a fabulous stay here. The staff were awesome. It was a superb location near all the dining and shops in Bar Harbor. It was clean and comfortable. The people we met had been coming here for years. The free breakfast was super with eggs, bagels, fresh fruit and lots of other things. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

I cannot say enough about the Bar Harbor Villager. Every staff member we have interacted with has been kind, gracious, and helpful. We added a third night on to our stay and had to change rooms for night three. Without asking, the staff had the room we were moving to ready in the morning and we made a quick transition rather than loading luggage into the car and waiting around for a 3:00 pm check in. Kudos to everyone who made that happen. We have loved our time in Bar Harbor and the Villager is a wonderful place to stay convenient to everything. And the breakfast is good!!!

The cutest hotel! And the best free breakfast I've ever had at a hotel- amazing blueberries, avocado toast, yogurt parfait bar, so so good. This hotel is on the main street in Bar Harbor so walking to restaurants is easy, and it is so close to a fun outdoor bar with live music. We would definitely stay here again!
